By about 2:00 p.m. on July 13, the number of deaths due to landslides that buried the bus was 11 people, 4 injured people were being treated at Ha Giang Provincial General Hospital.

Lying on the hospital bed with a face still in shock, Mr. Vu Mi S (Khau Vai commune, Meo Vac district, Ha Giang province) shared: Up to now, my whole body still hurts and cannot sit up.

Mr. S confided that he was working as a worker in Hanoi. Since he hadn't been back for a long time, he took a break this time to visit his family. In the house there is a young wife and two small children.

After a long journey from Hanoi to Ha Giang City. When we arrived at our destination, it was past 2:00 a.m. At this time, there was a passenger bus running the Ha Giang - Cao Bang route passing by the house, so we got on the bus to go home.

Around 3:00 a.m. on July 13, the bus started departing from Ha Giang Bus Station, with about 20 people on the bus, both adults and children. When arriving at Ta Mo village, Yen Dinh commune, Bac Me district, about 4 o'clock, suddenly, rocks and soil fell down on the car, causing it to become bogged down to the level of the tires and unable to move.

At this time, everyone shouted to each other to get down and push the cart, but they could not go. There were 2-3 people left in the car. There was a car nearby that saw it was stuck and came in to help push it.

A while later, the area continued to collapse. People shouted to each other to run, not knowing where to run. After running a few steps, they were crushed by rocks and soil. About 5 minutes later it crashed again.

"The first time I heard people calling for help, but the second time I didn't hear anything anymore," said Mr. S., still in shock.

The 20-year-old male said that at this time, he could only stick his head above the ground, so he used his hand to scrape off the soil to breathe, but still could not move because the rocks were pressing down on his body. Behind him, there was also a man who was crushed by rocks and was trying in vain to scrape the rocks away to breathe.

At about 6 a.m., we saw emergency vehicles and police arriving to dig. Then 30 minutes later, everyone took me out and took me to the emergency hospital.
