In particular, many cases were lured and enticed by brokers through social networks with tricks such as "easy work, high salary", "stable income"... After going abroad, workers were forced to work at online gambling companies, disguised online games, scams...
To prevent and combat, from the beginning of 2025, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police have issued a plan to launch a peak period to fight against illegal labor exit activities in Cambodia and other countries.
The police force focuses on reviewing, making statistical lists, managing and synchronously deploying measures to prevent, combat and effectively prevent the situation of citizens illegally going to work abroad.
The Provincial Police have also increased warnings about risks, consequences, methods and tricks of luring, deceiving, and luring people to illegally exit, reside and work illegally, in order to raise awareness of vigilance and proactively prevent people from all walks of life.
In the first 3 months of 2025, the police force in the province often followed the area, went directly to each alley, went to each house, met each person to review and grasp information for nearly 40,000 cases of residence, labor, study and visit abroad. Thereby, classifying and clearly identifying cases of illegal residence and labor; Determining the location and key objects to focus on verifying and developing a fierce struggle plan for those who have acts of inviting, enticing and forcing to bring illegal exit people.
From the beginning of January to the end of March 2025, Thanh Hoa Police promptly detected and prevented 5 cases with 13 cases preparing to illegally work abroad; investigated, clarified and prosecuted 3 cases with 3 defendants for organizing others to flee abroad; administratively sanctioned 24 cases with 24 cases crossing the border without completing immigration procedures.
Also according to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, to continue to improve the effectiveness of preventing, fighting and stopping illegal exit activities, in the coming time, the police force in the province will continue to advise Party committees and authorities at all levels to strengthen leadership, direction and mobilization of the entire political system. At the same time, promptly detect rings organizing illegal exits for combat and strictly handle according to the law.
