On June 22, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that functional forces had just made a record of administrative violation against a driver for the act of pasting letters and numbers, changing information on the license plate.

According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, previously, images of a car showing signs of using black tape to change the characters on license plates appeared on social networking groups, in order to hide vehicle information, cope with the traffic surveillance system and avoid being handled for violations through images.
From the collected information, the Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police conducted a review of data from the AI camera system for traffic surveillance. Through this, functional forces discovered that this vehicle appeared at the Lac Long Quan - Quang Trung intersection area.
Conducting verification, the police force identified the vehicle owner as Mr. N.N.L, residing in Hac Thanh ward, Thanh Hoa province. Working with functional forces, the vehicle driver admitted to using tape to change the characters on the license plate to avoid being detected and handled for violations.
Based on collected documents and evidence, functional forces have made a record of administrative violations for the act of driving vehicles with license plates with unclear letters and numbers or using other materials to paint and paste on the letters and numbers of the license plate.
According to regulations, the act of attaching license plates that are not in accordance with the vehicle registration certificate or changing, covering up, or forging license plates may be fined up to 26 million VND, and at the same time, 10 points from the driver's license may be deducted and other handling measures may be applied according to regulations.
