On July 18-19, APEC Park (Da Nang) became a meeting point for the sports car enthusiast community when Porsche Vietnam brought an experience program with the participation of many high-performance car models of the 911, Panamera, Cayenne, Macan and Taycan lines.
Prominent in the display car lineup is the Porsche 911 Dakar with serial number 19 - a limited edition that has performed many cross-country journeys in Vietnam. The car model is inspired by off-road racing, developed on the 911 platform but possesses a larger ground clearance, specialized suspension and handling on many off-road conditions.
In addition to the limited car model, Porsche also brings many commercial car lines being officially distributed in Vietnam for visitors to test drive. The fleet stretches from indoor-fueled sports cars, hybrid cars to pure electric cars.
In the sports car group, the 911 Carrera Cabriolet 992.2 generation is equipped with a 394 PS engine, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. Meanwhile, the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Executive has a hybrid powertrain with a total capacity of 470 PS.
The SUV segment features the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupé, Macan GTS and Macan 4S pure electric. Notably, the new Macan 4S has a maximum power of 516 PS, with a range of up to 617 km per charge according to the manufacturer's announcement.
In the electric vehicle group, Taycan 4S Cross Turismo also appears with a capacity of 598 PS and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
Not only gathering many high-performance car models, the event also introduces experiential activities for car lovers such as test drives, racing simulations, art exhibitions and seminars on technology and architecture.
According to Porsche Vietnam, the program in Da Nang is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the company's sports car heritage, and also marks the first time the Porsche Experience Space is organized in the Central region.
Along with car display activities, Porsche also said that the charging infrastructure network for electric vehicles continues to be expanded. After high-capacity charging stations in Quang Tri, Gia Lai and Dak Lak, a new charging station in Thanh Khe area (Da Nang) is expected to soon go into operation, contributing to supporting electric vehicle users in the area.
