Ford Vietnam will recall a total of 6 Ford Territory vehicles manufactured from July 4 to 25, 2024 at the Ford factory in Hai Duong.
The reason is determined to be that the software in the engine control unit (ECU) has not been refined to suit operating conditions in Vietnam, thereby affecting the ability to meet domestic emission standards.
The company's engineers have detected the phenomenon of lights warning engines turn on on the center clock face. After conducting a technical assessment, Ford decided to updateEC software to ensure the vehicle operates stably and fully complies with emission regulations.
The software update will be done quickly, expected to take only a few hours, and customers will not have to pay any fees. For maximum support, Ford offers 2 flexible service options: a technician can go to a customer's home or pick up the vehicle at their residence to bring it to the dealer for inspection and handling.
Currently, Ford Territory is sold in 4 different versions, priced from 759 to 889 million VND. This model uses a 1.5L EcoBoost turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 160 horsepower and 248 Nm of torque, combined with a 7-speed automatic transmission and 4 flexible driving modes.
