On May 31, the People's Committee of Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province, said that after the incident of a female tourist dying due to a terrain truck falling into a lake, the locality chaired a meeting with relevant sectors to work with the Bau Trang Tourist Area Management Board, requesting the determination of the role and responsibility of relevant organizations and individuals to consider appropriate handling; responsibility in state management through the above accident.

The locality and units also visited and encouraged the families of the victims in the accident. The case is being investigated by the police.
Currently, Bau Trang Tourist Area Management Board has added solutions to ensure the safety of tourists, especially in areas at risk of unsafety for tourists such as adding barriers, installing additional warning signs prohibiting vehicles from parking near areas with water reaches and water markings. At the same time, increase patrolling, monitoring personnel, remind vehicles and tourists not to approach dangerous areas.

The People's Committee of Bac Binh district also proposed to stop the use of cars and off-road motorbikes to transport visitors to the sand dunes of businesses operating in Bau Trang tourist area until businesses are instructed by the provincial departments and branches, carry out procedures and meet business conditions according to regulations.
As the labor reported, on May 25, Jeep ran the sand hill terrain of a tourism business company in Bau Trang driven by a driver carrying 8 people walking sand hills and then to Bau Trang lake. Later, when the tourists got on the jeep to return to the company's parking lot, the jeep was slipped down and went to the lake. As a result, Mrs. L.T.B.T (born in 1969, living in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City) died of jam in a jeep submerged in the lake, the remaining tourists and the driver could escape.

At the end of 2024, when the authorities of Bac Binh district inspected 4 businesses selling cars and off-road vehicles transporting tourists at Bau Trang scenic spot, they discovered that 110/169 vehicles had no factory clearance documents, no safety inspection and environmental protection certificates. In particular, many vehicles at business establishments, even though their term of use and inspection have expired, are still operating; drivers do not have a driver's license or a suitable practice certificate, leading to a lack of skills in handling situations when moving through complex terrain.
