This is the first batch of the mid-life upgrade version Porsche 911, code 992.2, officially introduced in Vietnam not long ago. The car impresses with its outstanding paint color combined with a black roof, but what attracts the most attention is the license plate with special meaning and impressive transaction price.
According to the sharing, this license plate was auctioned twice before being finalized at the end of last year at a price of 510 million VND. Instead of choosing the number series associated with the car's name like 911 or 9922, the owner of a sports coupe from Hanoi decided to choose the number 79 pair with the meaning of "great talent", along with the number 2 showing the meaning of "really getting rich". This is a type of license plate sought after by many car enthusiasts because of its Feng Shui and symbolic elements.
Porsche 911 992.2 is a mid-life upgrade of the famous German sports car line. Compared to the previous generation, the new model has many improvements in design, technology and performance. The front of the car has been refined with new front bumpers and a wider air vents, the rear light cluster has also been designed with a modern style and increased aerodynamics.
The interior space has also been upgraded a lot. Notable is the cluster of digital watches behind the steering wheel with a 12.6-inch screen, supporting many Porsche's classic-style display interfaces. The 10.9-inch central screen uses a new generation PCM operating system, integrated with advanced Apple CarPlay connection and many online entertainment services. The car uses a 3.0L twin-turbocharged boxer engine, producing 388 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 Nm. Thanks to that, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 294 km/h.
In the Vietnamese market, the starting price of the Porsche 911 992.2 convertible version is from 9.64 billion VND. However, after adding personalization options and rolling costs, the actual price that the owner will have to pay can reach nearly 12 billion VND.
