The car was bought from Ho Chi Minh City at the request of an individual customer.
The Porsche 911 997 is the 6th generation of the famous 911 line of the German car company, produced from 2004 to 2013. Although it is over 20 years old, this model still receives great attention from domestic car enthusiasts. In Vietnam, the number of Porsche 997s is currently only available in very small quantities, becoming one of the rare versions on the used sports car market.
According to information from the car importing unit, when the Porsche 911 997 was advertised for sale in Ho Chi Minh City, a customer in Hanoi quickly asked an acquaintance showroom to connect and buy it. The transportation of the vehicle to Hanoi was also carried out in a short time to bring the vehicle to the new owner's garage.
Compared to new generations such as 911 992.1 or 992.2, Porsche 997 is considered outdated in terms of technology and equipment. However, this model still retains its own appeal thanks to its classic design, stable performance and increasingly valuable collection over time.
The Porsche 997 is an upgrade of the previous generation 996, with many outstanding changes in design. Notably, the traditional round headlights have returned, replacing the previous controversial "fried egg" design. The car is equipped with standard 18-inch wheels, along with some light upgrades in terms of performance.
The Porsche 997 versions include Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, targa, Turbo, GT3 and GT2. In particular, the Carrera, Carrera 4 and targa 4 versions use a 3.6-liter, 6-cylinder engine, producing a maximum capacity of 321 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and a maximum torque of 370 Nm at 4,250 rpm.
Although not possessing modern technology like new generation models, the Porsche 997 is still highly appreciated by many car enthusiasts for its iconic design and reliable operation. The appearance of this model in Hanoi continues to show the durable appeal of the Porsche 911 in the used sports car market in Vietnam.
