Lao Dong Newspaper has just published an article "Anxiety over overlapping telecommunications lines, crossing walkways in Quang Tri", reflecting the reality that many telecommunications lines on Phan Dinh Phung street are tangled, low and close to the road surface, even crossing people's walkways, posing a potential risk of traffic unsafety and damaging urban aesthetics.
After the reflection, the relevant unit has deployed inspection, pruning and developed a plan to synchronously renovate the cable system.
According to records, at many intersections with roads such as Duong Khue, Nguyen Dung, Le Van Tri and the area of alley 421 Phan Dinh Phung, the telecommunication cable system is tangled like a "spider web". Many sections of wire are hanging low, obstructing people's travel.
Notably, in the area next to house number 413 Phan Dinh Phung, a large telecommunications cable hangs across the entrance to the residential alley, only about 1.5m high above the road surface. Local people said that at night or when it rains, traffic through this area is very dangerous.
Regarding the above reflection, a representative of Dong Hoi Electricity said that the unit has conducted an inspection and review of the entire Phan Dinh Phung street immediately after receiving information from Lao Dong Newspaper.
According to a representative of Dong Hoi Power Company, the reason why the bundles of cables are increasingly bulging and tangled is that many network operators in the process of installing new subscribers or replacing lines have not recovered old cables, leading to the situation of "cable over cable".
This situation not only causes urban unsightliness but also creates great pressure on the power pole system, especially on roads with dense cable density" - a representative of Dong Hoi Power Company said.
To ensure safety in the short term, the electricity force has directly pruned and bundled the wires, and handled the low cables that are dangerous to people. The cables that are no longer in use will be cut off.
In addition to temporary solutions, Dong Hoi Power Company is implementing a long-term renovation plan by ordering processing and installing specialized iron bars on power poles.
According to a representative of Dong Hoi Power Company, the beam system will play a supporting role, helping to raise the height of the cable lines, separate telecommunications wires more scientifically, while reducing the load on power poles and creating favorable conditions for management and maintenance later.
