The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards of Korea closed with predicted victories, but there were also many surprises.
In particular, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Korean musicals, this year's awards ceremony for the first time added the musical category, thereby breaking the boundaries between genres and becoming a festival covering all fields of Korean content (K-content).
In the film category, Yoo Hae Jin - the star of "The king's warden" - has become the owner of the most prestigious cup - Daesang (large award).

He emotionally shared: "When sitting below, I thought I was still very far from this award, but now I know what Daesang looks like.
When I first started acting, I just thought "hope I can live by the profession". After that, I received a supporting male award, and then thought that just working in the profession until I was 45 years old was enough, but now I have come here. I feel very grateful.
Many audiences came to the cinema to watch the movie. Every time I go to greet the stage, I feel happy, happy and warm.
In addition to Yoo Hae Jin, young actor Park Ji Hoon of "The king's warden" also won the Best New Actor award. At the same time, the film was honored in the Gucci Impact Award category - honoring works that have spread and had a positive impact on the community.
The Best Film award belonged to "No other choice" by director Park Chan Wook. Lee Sung Min also won the Best Supporting Actor award for this work.
However, the results of the Best Actress category in the film category were surprising.
Son Ye Jin of "No other choice" - who previously won the Blue Dragon Best Actress award - missed the Best Actress award in Baeksang to Moon Ga Young, for her role in the movie "Once we were us".

The actress born in 1996 surpassed Son Ye Jin and her seniors Go Ah Sung (Pavane), Lee Hye Young (The old woman with the knife), Han Ye Ri (Spring night). This result is causing controversy on Korean social networks.
Meanwhile, Daesang's television segment belongs to Ryu Seung Ryong - the male lead of the movie "The dream life of Mr. Kim".
The actor suddenly mentioned Yoo Hae Jin when receiving the award: "I remember a very long time ago, when I was still with Yoo Hae Jin pasting promotional leaflets. Really overflowing with emotions.
He added: "Although this is a work with many factors that make production not easy at all, I still want to thank everyone who helped this story to be realized and released to the public, as well as colleagues who have accompanied me.
I believe that in the seemingly very ordinary things that everyone has, just a small word or a gentle touch can become a gift for each other.
Best TV series award was given to the work "You and everything else". While the Best Actor/Actress award belonged to Hyun Bin (film "Made in Korea") and Park Bo Young (film "Our unwritten Seoul".
