On August 12, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order Police had organized the destruction of sports weapons and support tools recovered from agencies, organizations, and businesses in the area.
These are weapons and support tools that have been equipped and used but units no longer have needs, do not ensure quality or are no longer subject to equipment according to regulations.
The total number of exhibits destroyed included 390 guns of all kinds, more than 900 support tools and 1,705 support tool bullets.
Specifically, there are 345 guns firing tear gas, rubber bullets, and threatening explosives; 1 gun firing tear gas; 456 electric batons; 26 metal batons; 246 rubber batons; 80 number 8 locks; 111 tear gas sprayers and 1,705 supporting tool bullets.
Functional forces destroyed 44 sports weapons, including air rifles and air pistols.
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, before destruction, all weapons and support tools were reviewed, inventoried, and compared between management records, books and artifacts by the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order and functional units.
Units specifically identify the type, quantity, source of receipt and make lists for each group. The handover, counting, transportation and destruction are strictly controlled, ensuring safety for people, vehicles, fire prevention and fighting, environment and security and order.
Depending on the type of weapon and supporting tool, functional forces apply appropriate destruction measures, ensuring the complete destruction of important parts and details that are no longer capable of assembly, functional restoration or reuse.
