For the admission method based on the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam, the application receiving score for majors is 15 points.
With the high school transcript admission method based on the average score of 6 semesters, the admission score is 18 points. Candidates using the results of the competency assessment exam of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City need to achieve from 600 points, while the V-SAT method requires from 225 points.
For the group of Law majors including Law, Economic Law, International Law and International Commercial Law, the admission score is higher. Specifically, the scores for considering high school graduation exam results and transcripts are both from 20 points; competency assessment score from 650 points and V-SAT score from 250 points.
For methods that do not use the results of the high school graduation exam or combined admission methods, candidates must simultaneously meet the conditions according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Accordingly, candidates need to have average academic results assessed as good (academic ability ranked from Good/Excellent or higher) for the whole year of grade 12 (academic study results of 2 semesters of the final year for vocational secondary school and equivalent subjects) and a total score of 3 high school graduation exam subjects according to the admission combination (or using the scores of Math, Literature and another exam subject) reaching 18 points or higher or a high school graduation consideration score of 8.5 or higher.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance said it will receive supplementary admission applications until August 25, 2026.
