On May 19, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (PC04), Ho Chi Minh City Police said that it had coordinated with professional units and local police to successfully destroy two gangs that illegally bought, sold, and organized the use of drugs.
During the coordination, professional units and local police conducted patrols, controls, and surprise inspections of suspected apartments and rental houses in District 10, Go Vap District. The police force discovered, investigated, and arrested 2 groups of 16 subjects, including 1 foreigner, seizing a large amount of drugs and related evidence.
Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Binh - Head of PC04 Department said that the police force has synchronously deployed many professional measures, resolutely attacking drug hotspots in the city, especially during major holidays when criminals often take advantage of them for activities.
"We always clearly define the motto not only hit the middle but we have to radical to the root, search to the end of the lines. Officers and soldiers of the entire force working excluding day and night, ensuring safety for people, especially in important events" - Colonel Binh emphasized.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Police continue to expand the investigation, and at the same time deploy many measures to control the area, not allowing new bad spots to form.
