On May 12, information from Da Nang Police said that Hoa Nhon Commune Police, Hoa Vang District has just successfully dismantled a case, arresting Nguyen Van Tuan (36 years old, residing in Hoa Tho Dong Ward, Cam Le District) who specialized in brewing tea into a hospital to steal property.
The incident began when Hoa Nhon Commune Police received a report from Ms. L.T.Th (residing in Quang Nam), a patient being treated at the Internal Medicine Department, Hoa Vang Hospital, about the loss of a mobile phone worth about 6 million VND on the morning of May 7.
Immediately, the police force rushed to the scene, coordinating with the hospital to extract security cameras. The image recorded a young man wearing a mask to cover his face, taking advantage of a loophole to sneak into the infirmary to steal a phone.
Using sharp professional measures, on May 11, Hoa Nhon Commune Police identified and summoned suspect Nguyen Van Tuan to work. At the police station, Tuan could not deny and bowed his head to admit all his crimes.
The subject confessed that after stealing Ms. Th.'s phone, he sold it for 1.2 million VND to get money to spend and buy drugs. Not only that, Tuan also confessed that he had previously successfully committed 4 other thefts. On April 27, Tuan also went to Hoa Vang Hospital to steal another phone.
In addition, from the end of March onwards, the doctor had committed 3 other thefts in Da Nang city, all of which were used to serve personal needs and drugs.
Currently, Hoa Nhon Commune Police are continuing to consolidate the case file, investigate and expand the case to strictly handle Nguyen Van Tuan according to the provisions of the law.
