According to the Department of Construction of Binh Duong province, in 2025, there will be 4 social housing projects starting construction in the area.
Social housing projects that have started construction include: Thang Long social housing, Hoang Thao My apartment complex, Binh Chuan social housing area, and Hoa Phu social housing project.
The above social housing projects have a land area of 30 hectares, building about 5,362 apartments equivalent to 356,120 m2 of housing floor space.
Of the four projects above, the largest is the Hoa Phu social housing project (Hoa Phu ward, Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province). The project has a total investment of VND 2,725 billion, building more than 3,000 apartments. Of which, building social housing apartments with about 1,666 apartments, each apartment area from 25-70 m2.
In addition, building adjacent social housing with 1,376 units, each unit has an area of 60-70 m2.
Notably, this social housing area is near VSIP II industrial park, Phu Tan industrial park, Dong An 2 industrial park, My Phuoc 3 industrial park. This area has a large concentration of workers.
According to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the province is currently allocating additional land to develop housing for workers. The province's goal is to develop 160,325 social housing units by 2030, including 155,289 apartments and 5,036 townhouses.
