On December 17, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province said that it had reported to the Ministry of Finance on the review of public assets and office buildings that are not in use, used ineffectively, or not for the right purpose in the province.
Through review, there are currently 327 surplus, unused houses and land under the management of Binh Dinh province.
Of which, the province has approved a plan to handle 178 houses and land (transferring 57 facilities, transferring 22 facilities to local management and reclaiming 99 facilities). Currently, relevant agencies, organizations and units are implementing procedures to soon put these houses and land into use.
For 149 surplus houses and lands, although previously approved for arrangement and handling in the form of "retaining and continuing to use", the province has assigned the Department of Finance to inspect, review, supplement necessary information and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval of the handling plan in December 2024.
It is expected that the province will transfer 44 facilities, transfer 40 facilities to local management, handle 40 facilities and reclaim 65 facilities.
Regarding public assets such as cars, machinery, equipment, and other assets under the management of the province, through review, there were no unused assets, ineffectively used assets, or assets used for improper purposes.
Previously, in mid-November 2024, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan and the working delegation inspected the management and use of public assets at a number of units in Quy Nhon City.
Of the 9 surplus and unused houses and land facilities in Quy Nhon City that the working group inspected, 8 facilities have submitted treatment plans to the Provincial People's Committee.
