On September 5, Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to give opinions on preparations for major events in September 2024.
According to the Binh Duong Provincial Electronic Information Portal, as planned, the province will organize a conference to announce the planning of Binh Duong province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, associated with activities to promote Top 1 ICF (World Intelligent Community Forum) and investment promotion on the morning of September 25, at the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center.
In addition to the main event, Binh Duong province also organized the Global Energy and Automation Exhibition on the morning of September 25 at the WTC Binh Duong International Exhibition Center.
At the same time, the groundbreaking ceremony and launch of key projects including: WTC Binh Duong Complex (A1 Roundabout); inauguration of Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang dynamic road, Bach Dang 2 bridge...
Binh Duong Province's Electronic Information Portal also informed that attending this series of major events will be leaders of the Government, Central Ministries, leaders of Binh Duong Province, provinces and cities of the Southeast Region, the Southern Key Economic Zone, localities signing strategic cooperation agreements with Binh Duong and the business community, domestic and foreign investors.
Binh Duong aims to become a centrally-governed city
Previously, on August 3, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 790/QD-TTg approving the Binh Duong Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
The decision sets out the general goal that by 2030, Binh Duong will become a centrally-governed city; one of the dynamic and comprehensive development centers of Southeast Asia; a leader in science, technology and innovation, and a modern industrial and service center.
Building a province with a synchronous, modern, smart, sustainable socio-economic infrastructure system and urban system following the green growth model, adapting to climate change, and protecting the ecological environment. Improving the quality of people's lives, building a prosperous, modern, civilized society; ensuring national defense - security and social order and safety.
Economic target: Average economic growth rate in the 2021-2030 period is about 10%/year, GRDP per capita in 2030 is about 15,800 USD.
