On January 30, the People's Committee of Van Ninh district announced that it had approved the Urban Development Program for the area expected to form a new urban area (town) of Van Ninh, Khanh Hoa province by 2030, with a vision to 2045.
According to the plan, in the period of 2025 - 2028, the entire Van Ninh district strives to achieve 5/5 criteria of a type IV urban area and the administrative unit standard of a provincial town; Van Gia town and a number of communes (oriented as inner-city areas according to the planning) strive to achieve the standards of urban infrastructure development level applicable to the area planned to establish wards of the town.
By 2028, the locality will complete the Project to recognize Van Ninh as meeting the criteria for a type IV urban area, and at the same time submit a report assessing the level of infrastructure development in the area where the ward is expected to be established to competent authorities for consideration.
In 2029, the district strives to establish Van Ninh town and inner-city wards, including Van Gia town and the communes of Dai Lanh, Van Phuoc, Van Binh, Van Long, Van Khanh, Van Thang, Van Phu, Van Luong, Van Hung and Van Tho.
After 2030, with a vision to 2045, Van Ninh - a town under Khanh Hoa city under the Central Government continues to improve and improve the score of the criteria for a type IV urban area, striving to achieve a number of criteria and standards for a type III urban area associated with the development goal of becoming a high-class coastal tourism city.
The total funding requirement for urban development construction investment projects until 2030 is estimated at over VND272,141 billion (from total social investment capital). Of which, the central budget is VND1,050 billion; the provincial budget is VND6,241 billion; the district budget is VND27 billion. Other capital sources are VND264,579 billion.
