The Department of Construction has also announced information on the list of locations for social housing development projects that need to attract investment in 2023 and the following years on the Provincial Electronic Information Portal, with 20 locations for businesses to pay attention to, participate in research, and propose investment in social housing projects. Implement the investment project to build 1 million social housing units and workers' housing units in the period of 2021-2030.
In which, the target assigned to the (new) Quang Ngai province is to complete 8,500 social housing units by 2030. On August 18, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued a document proposing to the Ministry of Construction to consider adjusting the target of completing social housing in 2025 and the following years to 2030 of Quang Ngai province, in the direction that the total target of completion by 2030 remains unchanged compared to the target assigned by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 444/QD-TTg dated February 27, 2025, which is 8,500 apartments.
Of which, 144 units will be completed in the 2021-2024 period and 8,356 units will be completed in the 2025-2030 period. To date, the social housing project in the province has completed and put into use 240 apartments. There are 2 social housing projects expected to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2025, including: Social housing in the Trade Union Institution Area of about 2 hectares, invested by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and social housing projects in the Phu My New Urban Area, invested by the Housing and Urban Development Investment Corporation, more than 380 apartments...
In addition, the Department of Construction has coordinated with the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police to review land funds in the area and introduce the location of the land to invest in building houses for the People's Armed Forces.
