On May 25, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Nghe An province said that the unit is advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue a draft Decision to amend and supplement a number of articles of Decision No. 40/2024/QD-UBND dated October 30, 2024 - the document regulating the land allocation limit for religious organizations and affiliated religious organizations in Nghe An province.
This amendment is implemented according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee in Official Dispatch No. 4141/UBND-NN dated May 14, 2024, related to the review of land laws in the context of the implementation of the two-level local government organization.
Through review, the Department of Agriculture and Environment found that some contents in Decision No. 40/2024/QD-UBND are no longer suitable for the new administrative organization model, especially in the provisions related to district-level administrative decentralization.
According to the draft amendment, the land allocation limit for religious organizations and affiliated religious organizations is specifically regulated as follows: commune-level areas in Vinh city: not more than 5,000 m2; commune-level areas in towns: not more than 6,000 m2; commune-level areas in districts: not more than 7,000 m2.
In case a religious organization needs to use land in many different communes, the limit will be calculated according to the area with a larger land allocation limit.
In addition, the draft also amended the contents of the end of Article 6, clearly defining the responsibility of implementing the decision for the Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office, departments, branches, commune -level People's Committees and related organizations and individuals.
The draft is in the process of collecting public opinions from organizations and individuals before submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and promulgation.
