On January 31, the Office of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province said that the locality has issued a decision stipulating the unit price for compensation for damage to houses, houses, and construction works attached to land when the State recovers land; the level of support for dismantling, demolition, and relocation of construction works according to a term construction permit in the province.
According to the decision, the unit price for compensation for damage to houses, houses, and construction works attached to land is specified in detail by the Provincial People's Committee in the attached Appendix and is the basis for determining the compensation level.


The decision applies to state management agencies, units, organizations performing compensation, support, resettlement tasks and related organizations, households, and individuals when the State recovers land in Khanh Hoa province.
For houses and construction works under a term construction permit that have expired by the time of land recovery, the property owner is not compensated according to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 105 of the Land Law, but is supported for dismantling, demolition, and relocation with a support level equal to 20% of the compensation level for houses and construction works according to regulations.
The decision takes effect from January 22, 2026.
Accordingly, for projects that have been approved by competent authorities for compensation, support, and resettlement plans for the entire project before the decision takes effect, continue to implement according to the approved plan.
In case the project has not been approved for compensation, support, and resettlement plans for the entire project before the decision takes effect, it shall be implemented according to the provisions of this decision.
For projects divided into many phases according to the investment progress, some phases of which have been approved for compensation, support, and resettlement plans, they will continue to be implemented according to the approved plan; the remaining phases that have not been approved will be implemented according to regulations.
According to records, many people in the province expressed their agreement with the locality's issuance of specific regulations on compensation unit prices and levels of support for dismantling and relocating works.
People believe that having a unified and clear unit price framework will help make the compensation and support process more transparent, limit complaints, and at the same time create peace of mind for households when the State recovers land to implement socio-economic development projects.
In addition, the new regulation is also expected to contribute to ensuring harmony of interests between the State, investors and people. Thereby accelerating the progress of site clearance, creating favorable conditions for the implementation of key projects in Khanh Hoa province.
