On May 5, Khuong Dinh Ward People's Committee (Hanoi) said that the ward had organized a conference to implement the land clearance plan for the project to invest in building technical infrastructure around Re Quat Lake.
The project deploys the construction of a dyke system to prevent landslides, improve environmental sanitation, and embellish the urban landscape, contributing to improving the quality of life of people in the area.
According to Khuong Dinh ward, site clearance is required to be carried out in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring progress, publicity, transparency and the legitimate rights of households whose land is recovered.
According to the plan, the project has a total recovered area of about 15,343.5 m2, involving 102 households, individuals and related organizations.
In the past time, site clearance work has achieved some initial results, but there are still difficulties and obstacles related to land dossiers, compensation, support and resettlement policies as well as the consensus of a part of the population.
To ensure the implementation progress in 2026, Khuong Dinh Ward People's Committee requests professional departments and related units to focus on synchronously implementing key tasks such as reviewing and confirming the origin of land; completing compensation, support, and resettlement plans; organizing public disclosure and collecting people's opinions; implementing compensation payments and handing over land according to the set roadmap.
The ward also requested relevant units to strengthen propaganda, mobilization, and dialogue to create consensus among the people; proactively grasp the situation, promptly resolve petitions and reflections, and prevent hot spots of security and order from arising.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Sy Doan - Chairman of Khuong Dinh Ward People's Committee - emphasized that site clearance is a key task, of great significance for project implementation.
Mr. Nguyen Sy Doan requested units and departments to improve their sense of responsibility, closely coordinate, closely follow the progress, ensure the correct implementation of procedures and regulations; and at the same time promote the role of the grassroots political system in propaganda and mobilization work, contributing to completing tasks according to the set plan.
