According to the working schedule of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, this week the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee will have a meeting to hear the People's Committee of Tan Uyen city report on progress and difficulties in compensation and site clearance for the Elevation Project. Expand the road from Binh Chuan intersection to the intersection of Tan Phuoc Khanh Martyrs Monument (section passing Tan Phuoc Khanh ward, Tan Uyen city).
Previously, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center chaired and coordinated with the Provincial Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board and localities to hold a meeting with the people to get opinions on the draft compensation, support and resettlement of households where the project passes through.
Accordingly, in the section passing through Tan Uyen city, the entire route has 274 households, individuals, and 8 organizations within the scope of clearance.
Since the beginning of 2024, Tan Uyen City People's Committee has issued land recovery decisions to compensate, support and resettlement for people whose land is within the scope of clearance. Many households have received compensation, however there are still households that have not agreed with the compensation plan.
According to records, the road from Binh Chuan intersection to the intersection with Tan Phuoc Khanh Martyrs' Monument route is an important traffic route connecting Thuan An city with Tan Uyen city. However, the road is still small and narrow, and in previous years the road was damaged and degraded. In 2019, the road was repaired, but the scale of the road is still small compared to the residential and business development on both sides.
The project has gone through many adjustments. In 2022, the Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee will continue to approve adjustments to this project. The road is planned to have a width of 35.5m - 42m and is more than 2km long. The total investment capital of the project is over 1,000 billion VND.
Currently, units are focusing on compensation for land recovery and at the same time selecting contractors and construction supervision consultants.
