On September 9, Lao Dong's source said that Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan has established an Interdisciplinary Inspection Team to receive, review, inspect, verify, and propose solutions to citizens' complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections on land management and use in Binh Nghi commune (Tay Son district).
According to this decision, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Deputy Chief Inspector of Binh Dinh province is the Head of the delegation and Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyen - Deputy Head of the Forest Protection Department of Binh Dinh province is the Deputy Head of the delegation. In addition, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Delegation also has 8 members representing the Provincial Police and related departments.
The Interdisciplinary Inspection Team is responsible for receiving and processing petitions, urging the settlement of cases under the authority of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Nghi Commune and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Son District; receiving, checking, verifying, and proposing settlement of matters under the authority of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (including petitions previously resolved by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee but with new circumstances).
As Lao Dong reported, on July 2, in Binh Nghi commune (Tay Son district), Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Binh Dinh province Le Kim Toan had a meeting with voters of 7 communes and towns south of Con river (Tay Son district) after the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly.
Through voters' opinions, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Kim Toan realized that land management in Binh Nghi commune is not strict, with many complicated problems arising.
Making a promise to voters, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Kim Toan affirmed that he would directly review the petitions and documents related to each voter's land-related petitions. He would then direct relevant departments to review and resolve them.
"Whether the petition is right or wrong, can be resolved or not, and why not, the relevant agencies will respond and explain in detail to voters," said Mr. Le Kim Toan.
The process of handling petitions related to land is based on the principles of the rule of law, openness, transparency, impartiality, respect for historical circumstances, and "no bias towards one person or another".
Mr. Le Kim Toan requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the People's Committee of Tay Son district to advise the Provincial People's Committee to include in the plan and organize a comprehensive inspection of land management and use in the period of 2014 - 2024 in Binh Nghi commune.
"The inspection process will pay special attention to recommendations on land issues during the voter meeting. The inspection results will also be announced clearly and transparently to the people. If we do well, do the right thing, and do our responsibilities, the people will have more trust in the government, so local leaders should not be afraid of this issue," said Mr. Le Kim Toan.
