Arsenal have dropped points in seven of their last 15 Premier League games. Now they face a difficult task of hoping to win their first title since 2020 in the Champions League arena. Waiting for them after the final international break of the season is the reigning Champions League champions Real Madrid.
After falling to Manchester City in the last 2 seasons, Arsenal is expected to be the only real threat to Pep Guardiola's team, aiming for the Premier League title for the fifth consecutive time.
Arsenal's efforts to win the Premier League title in the 2022-2023 season have stalled in the final stages due to important injuries in the defense. The arrivals of Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice in the following summer turned them into the best defence in the league. That was the mark of Mikel Arteta's tenure, despite them once again missing out on the title.
Although strengthening the attack is considered a priority before the 2024-2025 campaign, the Gunners' only striker addition is Raheem Sterling on loan from Chelsea. The English player has yet to score a goal for The Gunners and has only 1 assist.

After 3 consecutive seasons of impressive scoring achievements, this year's campaign has witnessed a significant decline in Arsenal. Injuries have significantly affected their goal of pursuing their first Premier League title since 2004.
Only Bukayo Saka has shown a significant improvement in terms of performance this season compared to other strikers who have been at the Emirates since they emerged as Man City's main opponents.
Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka have missed most of the 2024-2025 season, while starting 32 and 36 Premier League games in the previous campaigns.
With only 10 appearances together this season, it would be unreasonable to say that Arsenal could have come closer to Liverpool if their two key creative players had played consistently.
Arsenal still maintain their defensive record from last season, but their attacking ability is significantly inferior. Only once in the history of the Premier League has a team won the runner-up position for 3 consecutive seasons. Arsenal themselves have done this from 1998 to 2001.
However, they won the Premier League title the following year with the right attack. The Gunners will clearly hope history can repeat itself.
