Tottenham Hotspur have accepted the gamble in the relegation battle in the Premier League when parting ways with coach Igor Tudor under a common agreement.
Tudor was newly appointed on February 14 with a short-term contract, but left after the team lost 5 out of 7 matches under him.
Time is running out for Tottenham in an effort to save their position in the Premier League, and the successor will face an almost impossible task.
Raise morale
Confidence was originally a problem from the time Tudor took over, but now it has probably bottomed out after a series of 6 consecutive defeats - a sad record for the club - along with a series of 13 winless matches in the Premier League.

The image of Tottenham players collapsing on the field after each match has become familiar. Tudor's frank comments about the team's weakness in both attack, midfield and defense further demoralized the spirit.
To get out of the current situation, the "Roosters" are forced to restore confidence. Reviving the spirit of the pillars will play a key role.
Returning players to their correct positions
One of the big problems under Tudor was the misplacement of players to maintain the 3-center-back system.
Joao Palhinha and Pedro Porro were each pulled back to play center back, while Conor Gallagher, Xavi Simons and Lucas Bergvall had to play on the flanks despite their forte being the center.
Archie Gray was even rotated between the two flanks of the defense before being returned to the central midfielder position - where he immediately performed well.
Notably, Dominic Solanke was also pushed down to play as an attacking midfielder. In the decisive stage, Tottenham needed simplicity: using players in their preferred position.
Finding home advantage
Usually, successful relegation teams take advantage of the home advantage. However, Spurs' stadium is no longer a fulcrum.
This team has only won 2 home matches in the Premier League this season and has no home wins since December 6, 2025.
Although they once created memorable moments in the European arena, Tottenham played ineffectively in the domestic league. One of the reasons is that their approach to the match is too passive, causing them to be often overwhelmed by opponents.
To improve quickly, the "Roosters" need to start more proactively and impose the game from the beginning.
The race for survival
Two wins or about 8 points may be enough for Spurs to stay in the league. But with their current form, this is not a simple task.

Tottenham has only won 2 in the last 22 matches in the Premier League and only won 1 point in the last 7 matches. If they want to stay in the league, they are forced to improve immediately.
Despite possessing quality names like Richarlison, Dominic Solanke, and young talents like Archie Gray, Xavi Simons and Lucas Bergvall, alongside two classy centre-backs Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, Tottenham has still not shown its true potential.
They need to quickly find a way to win again if they don't want to pay the price with relegation.
