Kevin De Bruyne has revealed he is not involved in any talks about leaving Manchester City this summer.
The Belgian has just one year left on his Etihad contract and, at 33, has admitted his career is coming to an end. De Bruyne caused a stir when he admitted the appeal of the Saudi Pro League: "At my age, you have to be open to everything. You're talking about unbelievable amounts of money at what could be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that."
The former Chelsea midfielder has been a key figure in the Citizens' success since arriving in 2015. He has won a total of six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, one Champions League and five Carabao Cups during that time.
De Bruyne has also been named Man City's Player of the Season four times and the Premier League Player of the Season twice.
De Bruyne has started all three of Man City's Premier League games this season and worn the captain's armband. His influence shows no signs of waning, with a goal and an assist to his name.
There has been no talk of a move for the 33-year-old as of yet. De Bruyne told BBC Radio Manchester that he had a quiet summer.
"To be honest, I haven't spoken to anyone. There's been a lot of noise and news. I said I expected a quiet summer and it was. I went on holiday for four weeks, came back and started training. That's it. Nothing to talk about," De Bruyne said.
De Bruyne said during Euro 2024 that he would stay at the Etihad, but admitted his future beyond this summer is uncertain. Speaking to Het Laatste Nieuws, the former Wolfsburg star said he could be tempted by a move to Saudi Arabia.
"Yes, I will stay. I have read a lot of headlines about a transfer but I have not spoken to anyone. I met the Saudi Pro League sporting director Michael Emenalo at the FIFA Club World Cup. I know Michael, so it is normal for us to talk. But it is not about a transfer.
It's difficult to say what my next step will be. We will sit down together in the coming months," said De Bruyne.
De Bruyne's contract is due to expire, similar to that of manager Pep Guardiola. The Spaniard has yet to commit his future to the club beyond the end of the season.
