Manager Mikel Arteta is paying a heavy price for failing to sign a new striker in January. Arsenal are currently without four key forwards, which could see their chances of winning the Premier League title go up in smoke.
Kai Havertz joins a growing injury list that includes Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. Gunners fans will be asking themselves who will lead the line against Leicester.
Arsenal were interested in signing Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins in January and also made an unsuccessful bid to sign RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko in the summer.

Instead, they have maintained that they do not want to ruin their summer plans by making a panic deal. But just 10 days after the transfer window closed, putting all their faith in one striker looks like a huge mistake.
Arteta has put all his faith in Havertz to carry Arsenal's title ambitions, with the Spaniard believing Havertz can handle the pressure and expectation of being the club's sole striker for the rest of the season.
Ironically, Havertz has suffered a serious hamstring injury and could miss the rest of the campaign. Worse still, the Germany international picked up the injury during the mid-season break in Dubai.
How could Arsenal have injured Havertz when he was their only fit striker? It would have been easier to understand if it was a knock-on injury, but it turned out to be a muscular problem.
This is a recurring problem for Arsenal and it is unlikely to be a coincidence. Saka suffered two hamstring injuries before suffering a serious tear that required surgery.
Meanwhile, Jesus suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his knee and his entire Arsenal career has been plagued by injury. Martinelli also suffered a hamstring injury in the Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Newcastle.
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was questioned about his injury record and overuse of players. It seems Arteta is not facing the same criticism or questions now, but his players are still having problems.

Arsenal have ambitious plans for next summer. Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi, Sesko and Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams are all on their radar. A new goalkeeper and defender could also be on the cards.
The problem is that Gunners fans need trophies this season. They have reached the knockout stages of the Champions League, finished second in the Premier League and almost admitting defeat is unacceptable.
