Liverpool head coach Arne Slot was forced to cancel a training session scheduled for Thursday (local time) due to the weather.
The Kop just lost the minimum to Tottenham in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final away. Lucas Bergvall's only goal for Spurs made the return leg difficult for Liverpool.
Before thinking about a comeback against Tottenham, Liverpool had to prepare for their FA Cup third round tie against Accrington Stanley. And once again, the weather affected Slot's team.
A cold snap has hit England, with temperatures dropping sharply. While the clash with Spurs has not been affected, Liverpool's return to Merseyside has been more problematic than expected.
According to The Athletic, the Liverpool flight from London was unable to land at Liverpool John Lennon Airport due to fog and ice. Instead, their plane was diverted to Birmingham International Airport, about 100 miles away.
The flight delay meant Liverpool's players were unable to return to base until early in the morning, forcing Slot to cancel a training session scheduled for Thursday. Weather has been a familiar problem for Liverpool this season, with their trip to Everton also postponed due to Storm Darragh.
Heavy snowfall in Liverpool also threw into doubt last weekend's game against Manchester United, with the game eventually being played amid snow piled up on the touchline.
After the loss to Tottenham, Slot admitted that Liverpool players did not play well enough. The "Red Brigade" has shown signs of instability recently.
"If you compare it to the 6-3 win in the Premier League, it's obvious. But I don't think we'll be at that level every game. Coming here, we knew it was never going to be the same game as we played a week or two ago, we had more possession.
"There were many good things for me, more than the match against Man United, but the result was not as good. We lost, but it's not over, we still have 90 minutes in the second leg" - Slot said after the loss to Tottenham.
The match between Liverpool and Stanley in the FA Cup takes place at 7:15 p.m. on January 11 (Vietnam time).
