Manchester United has finalized the Premier League registration list this season with 23 players, including some notable names that did not appear but are still eligible to play.
According to regulations, each club can register a maximum of 25 players, but the "Red Devils" only filled in 23 names.
The most notable is the absence of Kobbie Mainoo and Leny Yoro. Both are not on the official list, but this does not mean they are excluded from the team's plan. Mainoo and Yoro belong to the group of players under 21 years old, so they are not required to be registered.
According to Premier League regulations, players born on or after January 1, 2005 are classified into this group and can play without appearing in the list of 25 players. Therefore, Man United can still use Mainoo and Yoro this season.
The case of JJ Gabriel is similar. This young talent is not on the list of 23 players, but is still eligible to play for the first team thanks to the regulations for players under 21 years old.
JJ Gabriel just had a brilliant performance in the U21 Man United shirt. In the 5-0 victory over Ipswich, this young player scored one goal and made two assists. That performance received praise from coach Michael Carrick.
I think the guys played very well. They are a really good team, very strong and you can see their quality" - Carrick shared after the match.
The English coach also praised JJ Gabriel separately. Carrick assessed that this player possesses great potential and is gradually adapting to the high-level football environment.
JJ Gabriel is clearly a very talented person. He has trained with us quite a lot and is constantly accumulating experience. Physically, he adapts well to each step forward and continues to develop" - Carrick said.

Meanwhile, Manuel Ugarte is still named in the list despite having physical problems. The Uruguayan midfielder was injured at the 2026 World Cup and is likely to be sidelined until next year. The fact that Ugarte is still registered shows that Man United has not ruled out the possibility of using him if the recovery situation is favorable.
The current list is not a fixed option for the whole season. The Old Trafford team will have the opportunity to adjust the squad after the January transfer window, thereby adding or changing the necessary positions.
The "Red Devils" currently have 3 points after 2 rounds in the Premier League and are preparing to play away at Everton this weekend. In the context that Carrick is still shaping the squad, young players like Mainoo, Yoro and JJ Gabriel may become important options in the road ahead.
