World Cup 2026 has officially closed the group stage, thereby determining 32 teams to participate in the knockout round. With the format expanded to 48 teams, the top 2 teams in each group and 8 third-placed teams with the best results have qualified for the next round.
The top candidates for the championship all achieved the goal of passing the group stage, including Argentina, Brazil, France, Spain, England, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium. In addition, host teams Mexico, USA and Canada also participated in the round of 16.
