Attending the program were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City.
Implementing Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW dated September 9, 2025 of the Politburo on strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health; celebrating the success of the XIV Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Young Physicians Association in coordination with the Can Tho City Department of Health, the Can Tho City Labor Federation and related units organized the program "Day of Giving Workers Health - for a Healthy Vietnam in 2026".

According to the Organizing Committee, in the journey of development and rise of the country, the team of workers and laborers is always the core force, directly creating material wealth, making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality and the whole country.

On that basis, the program not only brings the opportunity to examine, consult and provide free health care to workers, but also is an opportunity to raise awareness about proactively protecting personal and family health; and at the same time join hands to spread the message of love and sharing through the movement to register for organ and tissue donation for the life of the community.
The festival aims to concretize the spirit of shifting the focus from treatment to prevention, comprehensive health care for workers and laborers in industrial parks; step by step ensuring that each worker has periodic health check-ups, has access to basic, fair and quality medical services, in accordance with the motto: "Prevention is key, grassroots is the foundation, people are the center".

The event with a scale of more than 1,000 workers and laborers working in Can Tho City, prioritizing people in difficult circumstances, female workers, migrant workers, people working in environments with occupational risk factors or at risk of non-communicable diseases and occupational diseases.
This is also one of the typical activities in the series of programs to care for workers' health implemented by the Trade Union organization nationwide; contributing to building a modern, strong, healthy, knowledgeable and skilled Vietnamese working class, meeting the requirements of the period of industrialization, modernization of the country and deep international integration.
