On the morning of July 18, a draw ceremony and match schedule for the final round of the National 7-a-side football championship - Saigon Dragon Cup 2025 (VPL-S6) took place in Hanoi.
Previously, the 8 qualifying rounds of the region (Northern, Southern, Central Highlands, Western, Northeast, North Central, Central, South Central) started from May 18 with a total of 60 participating teams, competing in 248 matches and increasing by nearly 100 matches compared to the 2024 season.
Closing the regional qualifying rounds, the VPL-S6 tournament has identified 12 teams participating in the final round, including Thien Khoi FC, SHB, Dai Tu (North); 36 Hoang Nong Thao Vy, MyMy, Dien Bach Khoa Ninh Thuan (South); Hieu Hoa - Quahaco (Central Central region); Friendly (South Central region); XSKT Dak Lak (Southern Central region); Son Trang (North Central region); Xay Dung Phan Kha (Southern region) and Da Lube (Southern region).
According to the draw results, Group A has the presence of Da Lube, Friendly, SHB, MyMy; Group B includes Hieu Hoa - Quahaco, Son Trang, Dai Tu, 36 Hoang Nong Thao Vy; Group C has Phan Kha Construction yard, Dak Lak Inspection Agency, Thien Khoi FC, Dien Bach Khoa Ninh Thuan.
According to the regulations, the teams in each group will compete in a round-robin to calculate points. The top two teams, second in each group and the two third-placed teams with the best results will qualify for the quarter-finals, followed by the semi-finals and finals to find the champion.
The final round of the 2025 National 7-a-side Football Championship (VPL-S6) will take place from July 19 to July 27 at the Football Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Hoang Liet Ward, Hanoi.
