Recently, FIFA President Gianni Infantino sent a letter to Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) President Tran Quoc Tuan to congratulate Hanoi Police Club after winning the highest league in Vietnamese football.
In the letter, the head of FIFA highly appreciated the playing journey of the Police sector team and acknowledged the efforts that the team has shown throughout the season.
Mr. Gianni Infantino wrote: "I would like to congratulate the new champion of Vietnamese football - Hanoi Police! Their persistent efforts and impressive performances throughout the past season have been rewarded with this noble title. Congratulations to each member of the team, as well as the entire club for this wonderful achievement".
In addition to praising the V.League champion, FIFA President also gave positive comments on the contributions of VFF and President Tran Quoc Tuan in the development of Vietnamese football in recent years.
The recognition from FIFA shows that Vietnamese football continues to receive attention from the highest management body of world football, especially in the context that domestic teams are increasingly appearing in international arenas.
Previously, Chairman Tran Quoc Tuan also sent a congratulatory letter to Hanoi Police on behalf of the VFF Executive Committee after early winning the V.League 2025-2026. According to him, this title is the result of a methodical force building process, solidarity and determination of the whole team throughout the season.
Next season, Hanoi Police will represent Vietnamese football to participate in 2 international arenas including the AFC Champions League Elite and the C1 Southeast Asian Cup 2026-2027. This is an opportunity for coach Mano Polking's team to continue to affirm their capacity at the regional and continental levels.
According to the plan, Hanoi Police will receive the V.League championship cup at Hang Day Stadium in round 25, after hosting Becamex TPHCM on May 31.
