The Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Vietnam has just sent a letter of thanks to Vietnamese functional agencies regarding the results of the investigation and handling of the Xoi Lac TV case - one of the large-scale copyright infringement networks in cyberspace in recent times.
The crackdown on the Xoi Lac TV line is considered a typical case, showing the proactiveness and decisiveness of functional forces in handling copyright infringement in the online environment, especially with cross-border elements.
In a letter dated May 6, 2026, the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland acknowledged and highly appreciated Vietnam's efforts in the investigation process of the case. The handling results have contributed to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of copyright owners, legal content providers as well as legitimate service users.
The recognition from the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is of great significance in the context that online copyright infringement is becoming a global problem.
This also shows that Vietnam's efforts in protecting intellectual property rights in the digital environment are receiving attention and positive assessments from international partners.
In the coming time, Vietnamese functional agencies will continue to implement solutions to prevent acts of intellectual property rights infringement in the spirit of Official Dispatch No. 38/CD-TTg dated May 5, 2026 of the Prime Minister on focusing on directing the drastic implementation of solutions to fight, prevent, and handle acts of intellectual property rights infringement, Vietnamese functional agencies will continue to promote the spirit of proactiveness and decisiveness in detecting, preventing, and handling copyright infringement in cyberspace; and at the same time promote international cooperation, strengthen information sharing, coordinate verification, and handle acts of intellectual property rights infringement.
In addition to the work of detecting and handling violations, international cooperation, information sharing and verification coordination with relevant organizations and agencies will also be promoted.
Vietnam's law enforcement forces also requested diplomatic missions, rights holders and related organizations to continue to coordinate to promptly detect and prevent copyright infringement acts in cyberspace, contributing to building a more transparent and safe digital environment.
