On March 30, coach Kim Sang-sik of the Vietnamese national team attended a press conference before the final match in the Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers.
Opening the press conference, Mr. Kim Sang-sik said: "Although we have won tickets to the 2027 Asian Cup, the Vietnamese team will still be determined to win. This is both an important match and helps the team prepare for future plans. I personally expect the Vietnamese team to beat Malaysia 2-0".
Recalling the first leg match, the Korean strategist said: "The 0-4 defeat really makes everyone very sad. But the recent ruling (Malaysian team was defeated 0-3) is adding motivation for the Vietnamese team to be determined in the second leg.
Every team wants to win when taking the field. If the Malaysian national team no longer has 7 naturalized players, we will also be without Dinh Bac. Every team has difficulties and advantages.

Meanwhile, defender Doan Van Hau expressed: "The Vietnamese team is determined to win, even though it is just a formality match. The players always try their best to contribute to the national colors and bring joy to the fans.
When watching the first leg at home, the Vietnamese team lost heavily, I felt very sorry. But in football, there are times of winning and times of losing. Hopefully, in this second leg, Vietnamese fans will come to the stadium in large numbers to add strength to the whole team".
It has been a long time since Van Hau returned to the Vietnamese national team after a long period of injury treatment. Therefore, he also received the expectations of fans for his performance against Malaysia.
For me, each time I gather for the national team is always very happy. Indeed, on the first day of returning to the national team, I was also a bit nervous. However, I am happy to be given the opportunity to enter the field by the head coach and I will try my best to fulfill my mission.
Regarding the experience of facing Malaysian players, in fact, there is not too much when Hanoi Police Club once lost to Selangor in the C1 Southeast Asian Cup.
As for the national team level, when entering the field, we just try to play our best and respect the coach's tactics. The whole team works together and aims for victory," Van Hau shared.
