On the evening of May 28, at Bukit Jalil Stadium (Malaysia), the ASEAN All Stars team led by Vietnam head coach Kim Sang-sik defeated Man United with a score of 1-0. The only goal scorer in the match was Maung Maung Lwin (Myanmar).
Speaking after the match, coach Kim Sang-sik expressed his happiness that his students defeated the representative from Europe.
"The ASEAN All Stars players had a great match against the world's top team like Man United. We only had two days of training to prepare for this match, but the players played together as if they had practiced together for a long time.
The weather was hot but the fans came to Bukit Jalil Stadium in large numbers, we were really touched by the support of the fans. Winning against Man United was a great experience for me and the players. I am also very happy to be leading players from all over Southeast Asia," the Korean coach said.

In the last match, midfielder Nguyen Hai Long of the Vietnam team received many compliments. He is the only Vietnamese player to be named a starting player by coach Kim Sang-sik in the ASEAN All Stars squad.
Hai Long left a positive impression with good ball handling, continuously causing young center back Aiden Heaven to have many difficulties with dribbles and runs.
The Hanoi FC striker contributed 3 of the 5 shots of the ASEAN All Stars team to Andre Onana's goal before being withdrawn by coach Kim Sang-sik at the beginning of the second half.
Coach Kim Sang-sik commented: "Hai Long had a great match despite only joining the team on May 27. Hai Long's spirit, physical strength and form are very good, not only in the match against Man United but also in the Vietnam national team.
He is a promising talent. Hopefully, Hai Long will have more opportunities to compete in the international arena. In addition, I also hope Man United coach Ruben Amorim can keep an eye on him".
After this match, Man United will leave Malaysia to go to Hong Kong (China) to prepare for the match against this team at 19:00 on May 30.
Meanwhile, coach Kim Sang-sik, assistants and 4 Vietnamese players Hai Long, Van Vi, Hoang Duc and Duy Manh will also return home to prepare to join the national team.
