On the evening of May 28, Man United suffered a 0-1 defeat to ASEAN All Stars in an international friendly match, taking place at Bukit Jalil Stadium (Malaysia). The only scorer for the Southeast Asian representative was Maung Maung Lwin.
Sharing after the match, Man United coach Ruben Amorim said that the above loss was a disappointing result.
"We should have won games like this, to show our ability in every competition. With this type of climate, I am still satisfied that no one is injured. But that is not the reason to blame failure.
I repeat, there is no excuse. We should have played better. I am very happy that the young players, they tried when given the opportunity. That was enough. The season is over. The most important thing is that Man United are not injured when entering the new season," said coach Amorim.

Meanwhile, midfielder Bruno Fernandes affirmed that Man United do not want to lose to the ASEAN All Stars team. But this defeat is an experience for the players when playing abroad as well as for the team's fans.
"Many young players were given opportunities. This is a good experience for them. We work with them regularly and know what to expect. We're not used to hot and humid weather, but I don't think it makes any difference.
Next, Man United players will enjoy the experience in Hong Kong (China), meet fans, spend time with them, give them autographs, take photos. Those are the best things we can do in this tour," the Man United captain shared.
According to the schedule, Man United will leave Malaysia to prepare for the friendly match with Hong Kong (China) at this team at 19:00 on May 30.
