After a long flight departing from Hanoi at 2 am on May 1st and transiting Doha (Qatar), the Vietnam U17 team arrived in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) at about 10 am local time (ie 2 pm Vietnam time).
According to the schedule of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), official activities only start from May 3, but the Vietnam Football Federation has proactively sent the team 2 days earlier to help the whole team have more time to adapt to the new time zone, climate conditions as well as facilities in the host country.

Although not on the official welcoming schedule of the organizers, coach Roland and his team still received thoughtful support from the host.
U17 Vietnam's accommodation is the Mövenpick Jeddah hotel, about 15 minutes by bus from the airport. This is also the location where the team will stay throughout the tournament. This hotel was once stationed by U23 Vietnam at the 2026 AFC U23 Championship at the beginning of the year.
As soon as they settled down, the players had lunch with a nutritious menu. After that, the whole team returned to their rooms to rest to recover after a long journey.

According to the plan, in the afternoon of the same day, the players will perform light exercises at the gym combined with relaxation and fitness recovery at the hotel pool.
Coach Roland currently prioritizes measures to help the team quickly integrate into the new environment, from living to training. This is an important foundation for players to achieve the best physical and mental state before entering the first tactical training sessions.
