Last September, freestyle ball player Do Kim Phuc and his team began a trip across Vietnam to bring balls to children across the country.
During the 20 days of implementing the project "1,000 balls for children", Do Kim Phuc traveled through 20 provinces and cities, from the North to Ca Mau. There were places where the project stopped, the travel distance was difficult due to the impact of Typhoon Yagi, but this could not hinder the group's journey.
Recalling the memories of the special journey, the male athlete said: “After going through winding roads, going to places without electricity or phone signal, I realized that there are still many places in Vietnam that are really difficult. My team and I had to discuss and find solutions many times, not only balls, but also milk cartons, toys and other items to hand to the children.
Seeing the children's happy smiles when holding the new balls in their hands, I feel very touched. That is the motivation for the team to try harder every day."
