The BJT will submit a proposal to vote for no confidence in Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra after a leaked phone call with Hun Sen.

On June 25, Bhumjaithai Party spokeswoman (BJT), Ms. Nan Boonthida Somchai, said that the party had agreed to make a proposal under Article 151 of the Constitution. The scheduled submission date is July 3 when the third session of the parliament opens.

Ms. Nan also invited other opposition parties including the People's Party, Palang Pracharath Party, the Fairness Party and the Thai Sang Thai Party to sign and participate in the no-confidence debate targeting Ms. Paetongtarn.

At a joint meeting between the board of directors and Party lawmakers, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Chairman of the BJT Party, said that the party has received strong support from the people after the decision to withdraw from the ruling coalition.

We will do our best in the opposite role. No of our lawmakers left the party after this decision, Anutin said.

For her part, Prime Minister Paetongtarn said she was ready to answer any questions from the Constitutional Court regarding the leaked recording, asserting that there was no act of harming the country.

She emphasized that the conversation in the recording was a form of diplomatic exchange, often seen between leaders, and the content was not intended to be made public.

It was a private exchange. I am ready to explain every aspect of the case in court if necessary, she said.

According to the sources, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has agreed to conduct a preliminary investigation into Ms. Paetongtarn on charges of serious ethical violations related to the content of the conversation with Mr. Hun Sen.

NACC will translate and translate all the content of the recording in foreign languages, as this is considered the main evidence during the investigation. The Committee also requested to speed up the progress because the case attracted great attention from the public.

On June 24, a coalition of political groups launched a campaign called "Solidarity for the Fatherland" to call on Prime Minister Paetongtarn to resign.

The campaign has the participation of figures such as Mr. Jatuporn Prompan ( Spokesperson of the People's Unity Group), Mr. Pichit Chaimongkol (Leader of the Students and People's Reformed Network of Thailand) and Mr. Panthep Puapongphan ( Principal of the Eastern Medical School, Rangsit University).
