Accordingly, in the friendly match with PVF-CAND, Xuan Son was put on the field for about the last 15 minutes of the match, marking a positive start in his journey to recover efforts.
It is known that the team from Thanh Nam is planning to bring Xuan Son back to the list of registered players from the second leg of V.League 2025-2026. However, he will only play for a certain period of time from the bench, to ensure a full recovery of his physical strength and feel of the ball.

Xuan Son suffered a serious injury in the second leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup final against Thailand. He was expected to be out of action for at least 8 months, but the recovery process has now lasted nearly 10 months before Xuan Son returned to action.

He is also the first Vietnamese player to win the title of "Best Player" and "Gunners" at the same time in the regional arena.
