On the morning of July 2nd, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team departed for Incheon (Korea) to enter a nearly 2-week training camp.
In addition to professional training, the Vietnamese national team will have 3 friendly matches with opponents from K.League 3, K.League 2 and K.League 1.
According to the plan, on July 5, the team will meet Siheung FC, a representative currently playing in K.League 3. Three days later (July 8), Quang Hai and his teammates will face Yongin FC of K.League 2. The final match will take place on July 13 against Gangwon FC - a team currently playing in K.League 1.
This is considered an important stage for the coaching staff to assess the force, test personnel and complete tactical plans before the ASEAN Cup 2026.

In the past time, the team has mainly focused on improving physical foundation. Coach Kim Sang-sik said that when going to South Korea for training, the focus of the whole team will shift to tactical exercises and team testing through actual matches.
Before leaving, the Korean strategist also updated the national team's force situation. He expressed regret that young player Ngo Dang Khoa had to return to the club for injury treatment. In addition, Duy Manh and Tuan Tai are also in the injury recovery phase, but the situation is progressing very well and will return soon.
One of the notable points in this gathering is the presence of naturalized players. Mr. Kim highly appreciated the integration ability of Patrik Le Giang and Geovane (Tai Loc), saying that their appearance helps increase the competitiveness of the team.
Their joining makes the team much stronger than before. We need to see how quickly they can adapt and find a combination with the current players," Mr. Kim shared.

In addition, the Korean coach continues to place his trust in young players such as Quang Kiet, Ngoc My, Viet Cuong or Nhat Minh. The call-up of these faces aims to directly assess their abilities and find more factors that can compete for a position in the national team in the near future.
After completing the training trip on July 14, the Vietnamese team will return to Hanoi to prepare for the international friendly match with the Myanmar team at Thai Nguyen Stadium on July 18.
