On May 31, the UAE Football Association (UAE FA) held a meeting with the Dubai Police Department's event Security Committee to plan all plans for security and safety during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Group G, from June 3 to 15.
The meeting reviewed all security plans in the stream during the tournament from the teams' residences, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) delegations, referees, travel schedules of the teams from the home to the stadium for competition, to the training grounds... The Dubai Police and the UAE FA also closely coordinated with the AFC and the Organizing Committee of the two grounds of Zabeel and Al Maktoum to reach an agreement on working mechanisms, especially during the match days.
"We are committed that the 2022 World Cup qualifiers will be held according to the highest quality standards to ensure the safety of everyone, as well as to represent the image and honor of the UAE, as a place that has successfully hosted many major sporting events," a UAE FA leader shared on the Federation's homepage.
With the commitment from the host country, the Vietnamese team as well as the other teams in Group G will be "taken care of" to the point of teeth, without having to worry about security issues. In addition, the UAE has also paid great attention to health work, especially in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic that has not been controlled in the UAE.
Accordingly, the UAE FA has signed a contract with Dubai Emergency Services Group to provide the fastest and most modern medical services for football teams, officials as well as at matches. According to this agreement, at the residence of the Vietnam national team as well as other teams, there will always be an ambulance fully equipped with modern means to respond to arising situations 24/24h.
In the matches, the organizing committee will have at least 3 ambulances deployed at 2 corners of the field, ready to perform tasks at any time. The training ground for the teams and the referee's residence are also closely monitored by a specialized medical team. In addition, hospitals and clinics affiliated with the UAE FA also operate 24/7 to be ready to handle situations when necessary.
With the commitments of the host UAE, the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Group G are expected to take place smoothly and successfully.
