On March 28, at the Scientific Conference to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang City, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang shared the core orientations for the city's development in the coming period.
Mr. Nguyen Van Quang emphasized the need to inherit and promote the historical and traditional values of Quang Nam - Da Nang, especially in the context of the two localities about to "come home together".
"In the near future, Quang Nam and Da Nang will all be a household, so they need to have a new vision, a new way of doing things to strongly promote the potential and advantages of a new city. According to the program tomorrow afternoon, General Secretary To Lam will work with the Standing Committees of the Da Nang City Party Committee and the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee. Certainly, at this working session, the General Secretary will have very important orientations for the development of the two localities, especially when the two localities return to one country," said Mr. Nguyen Van Quang.
At the workshop, Secretary Nguyen Van Quang also emphasized some core orientations. Firstly, the City Party Committee needs to improve leadership capacity and fighting strength, effectively carry out the work of building and rectifying the Party, streamline the apparatus to be streamlined, efficient and resolutely prevent and combat corruption. The immediate focus is to prepare well for Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
Second, Da Nang needs to inherit and promote the heroic tradition, solidarity and self-reliance of the people of Quang. The city will maximize its internal resources, taking advantage of the support of the Central Government to build breakthrough mechanisms and policies, especially in the context of "coming home together" with Quang Nam in the near future.
Third, Da Nang will focus on developing high-quality human resources, meeting the requirements of the digital economy and global integration.
Fourth, develop culture commensurate with economic development, considering culture as a spiritual foundation and driving force for development.
Finally, Da Nang needs to maintain national defense and security, ensure social order and safety, and build Da Nang into a safe and attractive destination.
