Tickets for the first leg of the semi-final on the evening of December 26 went on sale on December 22 and were sold out to Singapore fans after just over 6 hours. According to Channel News Asia, Singapore fans lined up around Jalan Besar Stadium, some even slept overnight in their determination to get tickets to the semi-final.
According to FAS regulations, the organizers have set three ticket prices: 49 SGD (920,000 VND), 35 SGD (660,000 VND) and 24 SGD (450,000 VND). Fans can only buy tickets directly at the stadium to ensure fairness. When buying tickets, fans must present their identification documents. Each person can only buy a maximum of 4 tickets per transaction.
For Vietnamese fans, the organizers only arranged about 300 seats with a ticket price of 38 SGD (about 713,000 VND). These tickets will only be sold on the day of the match (December 26). Vietnamese fans will buy them at Jalan Besar Stadium from 3:00 p.m. to 30 minutes before the match starts.
In addition to announcing that tickets are sold out, FAS also advised fans not to buy tickets from resellers on social media or online platforms. The reason given is that these resold tickets are not guaranteed to be authentic. Anyone who uses these tickets may be denied entry to the stadium or suffer financial losses if the repurchased tickets are not valid.
FAS also warned Vietnamese fans not to buy resold tickets. At the same time, they also reminded that Vietnamese fans can only sit in the area reserved for them, and they will be kicked out if they are found in the area reserved for home team fans.
During the group stage, Singapore played both home matches at the National Stadium. However, in the first leg of the semi-final against Vietnam, Singapore will play at the 6,000-seat Jalan Besar Stadium, due to a concert event at the National Stadium. The stadium adjustment was only announced by FAS after the group stage of the 2024 ASEAN Cup ended.
According to the schedule, the Vietnamese team will visit Singapore in the first leg of the semi-final on December 26. In the second leg of the semi-final, the Vietnamese team will welcome Singapore on December 29. Both matches will take place at 8:00 p.m.
This is only the second time Singapore has entered the ASEAN Cup semi-finals since 2012. For Vietnam, this is the 6th consecutive time the team has participated in the round for the 4 strongest teams in the region.
