On July 21, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation announced the decision to admit 106 union members and establish the grassroots Trade Union of Radisson Mui Ne Resort - Branch of Truong Hai Service and Tourism Co., Ltd.
According to Mr. Tran Ngoc Phuc - Chairman of Mui Ne Ward Trade Union, before establishing the grassroots trade union, the enterprise established a Committee to mobilize workers to join the trade union consisting of 5 members headed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh.
The mobilization committee has coordinated propaganda, mobilization and through the enterprise's internal notification system. As a result, 100% of employees voluntarily applied to join the trade union organization.
According to the Mobilization Committee, workers want to have representative organizations to protect their legitimate rights and interests and participate in building harmonious and stable labor relations.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation Ho Cong Duong presented the decision to establish the grassroots Trade Union and congratulated the Provisional Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union consisting of 5 members.
Mr. Ho Cong Duong requested the Executive Committee to soon develop operating regulations, well perform the function of representing, caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers; and at the same time coordinate with businesses to build a safe and civilized working environment, contributing to the development of the unit.
The establishment of grassroots trade unions and the development of union members are being identified by trade union levels in Lam Dong as key tasks. Depending on the specific characteristics of each enterprise and locality, trade union levels flexibly deploy many forms of propaganda and mobilization to attract workers to voluntarily join trade union organizations, contributing to expanding coverage and improving the effectiveness of caring for and protecting workers' rights.
