39 union members and workers in difficult circumstances working in enterprises of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group in the Southern region received gifts worth 1 million VND/part (including 700,000 VND in cash and gifts worth 300,000 VND) presented by the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union on December 16, in Ho Chi Minh City.
This is part of the program "Tet Sum Vay - Workers' Festival - Charity Market" in the Southern region organized by the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union in coordination with the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group in the Southern region.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Vice President of Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, in charge of the Southern region - said that the program has 74 booths of units in Vietnam Textile and Garment Group and partners selling essential goods at discounts of 30% to 70% for union members and workers.
The total number of union members and workers in difficult circumstances working in textile enterprises in the Southern region of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group who received gifts in the program "Tet Sum Vay - Workers' Festival - Charity Market" was nearly 700 people.
Ms. Thuy added that on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union coordinated with the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group to give Tet gifts to more than 1,900 union members and workers in difficult circumstances working in textile and garment enterprises under the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group nationwide, with essential products such as clothes, food, and cosmetics.
Nearly 410 union members and workers were given tickets to return home to celebrate Tet with their families.
Vietnam Textile and Garment Group, Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association jointly organized 129 discount booths and 0 VND booths to take care of union members and workers.
The total budget for taking care of the Lunar New Year 2025 for union members and textile and garment workers in difficult circumstances is over 4.5 billion VND.
