The 2024 General Staff's Excellent Trade Union Cadre Competition was organized from the grassroots level with participants ranging from Union cell leaders to Executive Committee members of grassroots Trade Unions of units. From the results of the competition at the grassroots level, units and enterprises selected 9 excellent candidates as Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of grassroots Trade Unions to participate in the General Staff's Competition.
Opening the contest, Colonel Bui Tuan Quynh - Deputy Chief of Political Department of the General Staff, Head of the Organizing Committee said that in the face of increasingly high demands for trade union activities and workers' movements in the current period, the contest is an opportunity for trade union cadres to exchange, learn, improve knowledge, exchange experiences, improve professional qualifications , operational skills, and further promote the role and responsibility of the grassroots trade union cadre team in successfully implementing the political tasks of agencies and units.
The contest also contributes to improving the effectiveness of propaganda about the achievements, experiences, advanced models and examples in the movement "Innovative and creative Army Trade Union - Forging morality, cultivating strength - Improving knowledge, practicing profession - Strong and developing worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers"; the tradition of fighting to defend the country of the nation; the heroic and glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army, of the General Staff; the Party's military and defense guidelines, practically contributing to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (1989 - 2024).
The 2024 Competition for Excellent Grassroots Trade Union Chairmen of the General Staff consists of 4 parts: Greeting, knowledge, situation handling and talent. Previously, on August 26, the contestants completed the knowledge test in the form of multiple choice tests on computers with a package of 100 questions.
