On July 13, Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation said that Sam Son Ward Trade Union had just organized a conference to summarize trade union activities in the first 6 months of 2026, deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of the year; announced decisions to establish 3 grassroots trade unions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation and launched the Trade Union Legal Advisory Group.
In the first 6 months of 2026, Sam Son Ward Trade Union has focused on performing well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. Currently, the whole ward has 3,660 union members operating in 30 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions. The employment and income situation of workers is basically stable, and no complicated labor disputes have arisen.
Negotiation and improvement of working conditions for workers are focused on. Through coordination with businesses, the Ward Trade Union has increased the value of lunch meals at 2 businesses from 25,000 VND to 35,000 VND/person, contributing to improving the quality of meals and improving the lives of union members and workers. In addition, propaganda activities, union member development, and innovation of content and methods of trade union activities continue to be implemented, contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations in the locality.
In the work of building the Trade Union organization, Sam Son Ward Trade Union has established 3 grassroots trade unions, admitted an additional 225 union members, completed and exceeded the targets for developing trade union organizations and union members according to the assigned plan. At the same time, the unit has introduced 20 outstanding union members for the Party to consider and foster for admission.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and evaluating the achieved results, pointing out shortcomings and limitations, and unified key tasks in the last 6 months of 2026. In which, Sam Son Ward Trade Union continued to promote propaganda work; improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities; better perform the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of union members and workers; effectively organize patriotic emulation movements, contributing to completing the set targets and tasks.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Comrade Le Chung Van - Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee, Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation acknowledged and praised the results achieved by Sam Son Ward Trade Union and grassroots trade unions in the past time.
The comrade requested trade union levels to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in a practical and effective direction; improve the quality of representation, care, and protection of the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; and at the same time organize good emulation movements and activities to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Thanh Hoa Trade Union.
